Tremendous support from corporate, academia, policy makers as well as students community, adds on to the success of convention each time. With the sole aim to change the BA eco-system in India, strategic additions are made every year that helps the community to grow.  Some of the initiative that got launched are: 
Recognition from Government of India

BA Convention is the only Business Analysis event outside of North America, that is not only titled as IIBA Official Conference, but it has also got support from Department of Electronics & Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & IT, Government of India.

Bringing Policy Maker on Board – SSC NASSCOM & IIBA MoU Exchange

BSSC NASSCOM & IIBA came on board at BA Convention 2016 and signed an MoU, to transform the BA eco-system in India. This MoU will work to help the business analysis community to move up the value chain. Another objective of this MoU is to bridge the corporate-academia gap.

This effort will allow India to produce the right Business Analysis talent that’s based on NASSCOM’s academic policies and industry standards defined by IIBA®.

Bridging the gap- First every live web transmission of BA Convention

Academia-industry collaboration has always been a topic of discussion on both sides. BA Convention 2016 initiated an effort to bridge this gap and live web transmitted 2016 edition of BA Convention to around 100 B schools across India. We are very proud to share that close to 20000 aspiring business analysts and around 500 faculty members attended this live web-session..

We Promised – We Delivered (Research on Business Analysis):

It was at 2015 edition, an IIBA-FORRESTER combined research was announced on business analysis. We are very proud to share that few months after the event, FORRESTER initiated this research and concluded it before BA Convention 2016. The research titled “Digital Business Analyst Supporting Business Transformation Agenda” was published. 

One such research was conducted last year by IIBA®, Cognizant, Offshore Insights and BA Convention and interviewed around 100 Universities / B-Schools along with NASSCOM, NSDC, AIMA, UGC and AICTE. Download-Research

Bringing Practicality – First Ever Business Analysis Lab Launch:

When we spoke of delivering the practical knowledge on BA education, we actually meant it. BA Convention along with IIBA® worked with Sparx Systems India to launch First-Ever Business Analysis Lab at Christ University Insitute of Management (CUIM) and further discussions are going on with other universities to set up more such labs for quality BA education and practical experience. The main objective of the Lab is to:Christ-university-logo

  • Aspire Business Analysts to get closer to the actual job and be relevant to what industry needs.
  • Upscale Business Analysis capabilities of the students so they are ready to take up their first ever business analysis job immediately after the college.
  • Reduce the training burden on the companies and help them get the top business analysis talent right from the campus.
